No, they are smooth and safe to use without worry of cutting your lip.

No, they are rust resistant.
Do your stainless steel straws have a metallic or strange taste?
No, they don't have a metal taste; however, they do take a bit of getting used to and we recommend washing them in warm soapy water before their first use.
Are they dishwasher safe?
Yes.
Are they lead free?
Absolutely, they are 18/8 stainless steel.
Do the cleaning brushes fit well into the straws for cleaning?
Yes, the cleaning brushes work great and clean well. For best results insert in one end and clean and repeat in the other end.
How long does it take to process orders?

What's the difference between 304 stainless steel and 18/8 stainless steel?
304 stainless steel is a very common stainless steel. It is an austenitic stainless steel. It is less electrically and thermally conductive than carbon steel and is essentially non-magnetic. It has a higher corrosion resistance than regular steel and is widely used because of the ease in which it is formed into various shapes.
18/8 Stainless steel refers to the percentages of chromium and nickel in the stainless steel alloy. The '18' refers to the chromium content which gives the straws its rust resistant properties, and the '8' refers to the nickel content.

We minimize the amount of plastic used in shipping by using recyclable kraft paper bags.
